Eric Head
Eric Head is from the United States and studied at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, and at the University of Michigan, where his teachers included Martin Katz and Ana María Otamendi. Most recently, he trained with the Merola Opera Program at San Francisco Opera and worked at Palm Beach Opera during the 2025/26 season. He was also a fellow at the Music Academy of the West and the Bay View Music Festival.
He received the »Rosholt Distinction in Accompanying Prize« and was the winner of the 2024 Marilyn Horne Song Competition. As a musical assistant, he worked on Strauss’ Ariadne auf Naxos, Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Bizet’s Carmen, Ravel’s L’enfant et les sortilèges, Puccini’s La Bohème and Gianni Schicchi, as well as Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel.
In 2021, Eric Head won the »Luther College Concerto Competition« performing Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 1.
