Living Legacies brings together three groundbreaking choreographies by George Balanchine, Christopher Wheeldon and Frederick Ashton, each of whom has shaped and developed classical ballet in their own unique way. With Divertimento No. 15, Within the Golden Hour and Rhapsody, the evening spans several generations and illustrates how dance traditions are passed on, reinterpreted and brought into the present day. This creates a multifaceted dialogue between past and present, between classical elegance and contemporary expressiveness, between virtuoso precision and the lightness of dance.
