Patrick Hahn
Conductor, composer and pianist Patrick Hahn was born in Graz in 1995 and is one of the most versatile artists of his generation. In the 2021/22 season, he was appointed General Music Director of the Wuppertaler Bühnen und Sinfonieorchester. That same season, he also became Principal Guest Conductor of the Münchner Rundfunkorchester, and since 2024/25 he has held the same position with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. From 2021 to 2023, he was Principal Guest Conductor and Artistic Advisor of the Borusan İstanbul Philharmonic Orchestra. He also enjoys a close artistic relationship with Klangforum Wien.
As a conductor, he has collaborated with major orchestras and opera houses, including the Münchner Philharmoniker, Philharmonia Orchestra London, Concertgebouw Orchestra, Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich, Wiener Symphoniker, Bayerische Staatsoper, Hamburgische Staatsoper and Semperoper Dresden.
Patrick Hahn is also active as a pianist, song accompanist and composer; his first opera was premiered in 2008. Alongside these activities, he devotes himself to jazz and the works of Georg Kreisler.
In the 2026/27 season, his engagements include conducting a new production of Die Liebe zu den drei Orangen in Frankfurt and Rienzi at the Semperoper. He also returns to the New National Theatre Tokyo to conduct a revival of Der Rosenkavalier.
