Luciano Ganci

Luciano Ganci began his musical career as a chorister with the Coro della Cappella Musicale Pontificia Sistina and studied voice, piano and organ. Today, he is one of the most sought-after tenors on the international opera scene.

His current and forthcoming engagements include Turiddu (Cavalleria rusticana) at the Teatro Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and the New National Theatre Tokyo, Des Grieux (Manon Lescaut) at the Teatro Regio di Parma, Stiffelio (Stiffelio) at the Theater an der Wien, Otello (Otello) at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie, Radames (Aida) in Rome, Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly) at the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago, Don Alvaro (La forza del destino) at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, Loris Ipanoff (Fedora) at the Teatro Real Madrid, Edgar (Edgar) at the Teatro Regio Torino, and Cavaradossi (Tosca) at the Deutsche Oper Berlin.

In previous seasons, he has appeared in Verdi’s Requiem at Milan Cathedral, in the world premiere of Dalinda at the Konzerthaus Berlin, in Aida at the Arena di Verona, Madama Butterfly at the Puccini Festival, Simon Boccanegra at the New National Theatre Tokyo and Un ballo in maschera at the Teatro Filarmonico di Verona, as well as singing Des Grieux in Manon Lescaut at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna.

In 2025, he was awarded the Beniamino Gigli Prize.

He made his Vienna State Opera debut in 2021 and has since appeared there as Maurizio, Andrea Chénier, Pinkerton and Cavaradossi.
