About the production
A mysterious bird, a star-flaming queen, magic instruments, Papageno, riddles, singing and so much more.
This is the new traveling opera for children at Haus am Ring. Together they set off on an adventure and wander along winding paths through the Vienna State Opera. Music everywhere, theatrical magic everywhere and a shared immersion in the magical world of opera. After her two State Opera successes, theater maker Nina Blum has now created a third children's opera project based on Mozart's The Magic Flute. On your marks, get set - and be amazed!
Mozart's The Magic Flute is one of the most famous operas in the entire repertoire: Tamino's "Portrait Aria", the Queen of the Night's "Revenge Aria" and Papageno's "The Birdcatcher I am" are known and loved by many. Of course, none of this should be missing in Secret Mission Magic Flute. But there's even more! The composer Gerald Resch has not only reworked Mozart's opera for the (instrumentally smaller) children's opera version, but also enriched it with new music. This makes Geheimmission Zauberflöte a new experience in terms of sound too!
