Hyejin Han

Korean soprano Hyejin Han was born in Daegu in 2000. She completed her bachelor's degree in classical singing at Seoul National University, studying with Attila Jun and Hyungwook Lee. She studied for her master's degree at the Berlin University of the Arts with Prof. Deborah York. 

In 2022, she won third prize at the Korean Broadcasting System KEPCO Music Competition. In 2021, she sang Olympia in Les contes d'Hoffmann at the SNU Cultural Centre Grand Theatre. In addition, she has been receiving support from the Hyundai Motor Jung Mong-gu Scholarship Foundation since 2021 and was a member of the foundation's Ondream Ensemble until 2023.

From the 2024/25 season Hyejin Han is a member Studio of the Vienna State Opera and will be receiving a scholarship from the WCN (World Culture Network) Foundation in the 2025/26 season.

At the Vienna State Opera, she sang the roles of the Duchess's page in Rigoletto and Barbarina in the Vienna State Opera's guest performances of Le nozze di Figaro in Tokyo. In NEST she appeared in the role of ICH in children’s opera Sagt Walfisch zum Thunfisch.
