Ginevra Belotti
Italian dancer Ginevra Belotti initially trained between 2017 and 2023 at the Affiliated Dance School of the Shanghai Theatre Academy in China, under the leadership of ballet teacher and choreographer Wu Jie.
From 2024 to 2026, she continued her studies in classical and contemporary dance at the European School of Ballet (ESB) in Amsterdam under Jean-Yves Esquerre and Olivier Wecxsteen. Among her most influential teachers during this period were Arnaud Dreyfus, Leanne Benjamin and Maina Gielgud, as well as Maurice Causey, Macarena González and Jiří Pokorný. Workshops about August Bournonville, George Balanchine and Sir Frederick Ashton form just as much a part of Ginevra Belotti’s technical training as creations by William Forsythe, Maurice Béjart and Mats Ek. Intensive courses, for example at the ballet school of the Opéra national de Paris, rounded off her studies.
Up to now, she has appeared in Balanchine’s Serenade, Dinna Bjørn’s The Nutcracker and Olivier Wecxsteen’s Masquerade, amongst others, all of which were presented with ESB. Ginevra Belotti has been a member of the corps de ballet at Vienna State Ballet since the 2026/27 season.
