Géraud Wielick

Géraud Wielick was born in Liège (Belgium). He trained at the Koninklijke Balletschool Antwerpen and at the San Francisco Ballet School. In 2012 he joined the Wiener Staatsballett, in 2016 he was promoted to demi-soloist. In the 2023/24 season, Géraud Wielick was appointed soloist.

His repertoire comprises Colas in Frederick Ashton's »La Fille mal gardée«, the magician Rothbart, Friend of the Prince and Hungarian Dancer (soloist) in Rudolf Nureyev’s »Swan Lake«, Hilarion in Elena Tchernichovaʼs »Giselle«, Florizel in Christopher Wheeldonʼs »The Winterʼs Tale«, Eros in Manuel Legris’ »Sylvia«, Lanquedem in Legris’ »Le Corsaire«, Puck and Flaut/Thisbe in Jorma Elo’s »A Midsummer Night's Dream«, Joseph in John Neumeier's »Josephs Legende«, Count N. in Neumeierʼs »Lady of the Camellias«, a »gipsy« in Rudolf Nureyev’s »Don Quixote«, Reindeer in Michael Corder’s »The Snow Queen«, Zephir in Jerome Robbins’ »The Four Seasons«, the Fate in Patrick de Bana’s »Marie Antoinette«, the Teacher in Eno Peci’s »Petrushka« and the title role in Andrey Kaydanovskiy’s »The Firebird«.
