Gabriele Aime

The Italian Gabriele Aime has studied at the school Il Mondo a passo di Danza and at the Ballet Academy of the Vienna State Opera where he graduated with distinction and was awarded as »Best Student« in 2016/17 and 2017/18. As a student he has been dancing at the Vienna Opera Ball in 2017 and 2018, in the New Yearʼs Concert of the Vienna Philharmonic in 2017 and in Rudolf Nureyevʼs »Swan Lake« in the Vienna State Opera. Since 2019 he has been a member of the Vienna State Ballet. His repertoire comprises Prince Nutcracker in Lotte de Beer's & Andrey Kaydanovskiy's »Jolanthe and the Nutcracker«, John in Vesna Orlić’s »Peter Pan« and roles in Orlić’s »Carmina Burana«, András Lukácsʼ and Peter Breuerʼs versions of »Bolero« as well as Paul Taylorʼs »Dandelion Wine«. He also took part in Martin Schläpfer's world premieres of »4«, »Sinfonie Nr. 15« and »The Seasons« as well as »Ein Deutsches Requiem« and a main part in »Drittes Klavierkonzert«. In Andreas Heiseʼs world premiere of »KaiserRequiem«, he appeared as Emperor Overall. Furthermore, he was dancing in musicals, operas and operettas such as »Brigadoon«, »My Fair Lady«, »La Traviata« and »Der Zauberer von Oz« at the Volksoper Wien. With »Like a dog with two tails« he presented his first own choreography at »Plattform Choreographie« of the Vienna State Ballet in December 2022.
