Byeol Kim
Byeol Kim is from South Korea, where she completed her dance training at Yewon Arts University in 2019. Between 2019 and 2021, she also took private ballet lessons before joining the corps de ballet of the Korean National Ballet (KNB).
In 2018, the young dancer was awarded the gold medal at the Korea International Ballet Competition (KIBC) and, in the same year, took second place at the international dance festival Tanzolymp in Berlin. The following year, Byeol Kim also won second prize at the Seoul International Dance Competition. In 2024, Byeol Kim took part in the International Draft Works contemporary dance festival at the Royal Opera House in London.
Her repertoire includes both (neo-)classical and contemporary ballet works such as Don Quixote, The Nutcracker, Le Corsaire, La Bayadère and Swan Lake, as well as Forgotten Land, The Little Mermaid and The Lady of the Camellias. From the 2026/27 season onwards, Byeol Kim dances in the corps de ballet of the Vienna State Ballet.
