Maria Zherebiateva

The Russian soprano Maria Zherebiateva was born in 1996 in Saint Petersburg, Russia. She completed her studies at the Tambov College of Arts and the Voronezh Institute of Arts, before continuing her training at the Galina Vishnevskaya Centre in Moscow. During this period, she performed roles including Micaëla (Carmen), Marfa (The Tsar’s Bride), Mimì (La Bohème), Iolanta, Tatyana (Eugene Onegin), and Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi).

Since the 2024/25 season, Maria Zherebiateva has been a member of the Opera Studio of the Vienna State Opera. At the Haus am Ring, she has appeared as Amore in Claudio Monteverdi’s Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria, Brigitta in Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Iolanta, a Flower Maiden in Richard Wagner’s Parsifal, Ines in Giuseppe Verdi’s Il trovatore, and in Jacques Offenbach’s Les Contes d’Hoffmann.
