Russian bass Dmitry Ulyanov regularly appears at renowned houses such as the Vienna State Opera, the Opéra de Paris, the Opéra de Monte-Carlo, the Bolshoi Theatre, Dutch National Opera Amsterdam, the Teatro Real in Madrid, ABAO Bilbao, the Liceu, the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Opera di Roma, the Bavarian State Opera, and at festivals including the Salzburg Festival and the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence.
His wide-ranging repertoire includes roles such as Hermann (Tannhäuser), the four villains in Les Contes d’Hoffmann, Raimondo (Lucia di Lammermoor), Prince Gremin (Eugene Onegin), Ramfis (Aida), and Prince Ivan Khovansky (Khovanshchina).
Upcoming engagements include Timur (Turandot) at the Bavarian State Opera, the four villains at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, Chub in Rimsky-Korsakov’s Christmas Eve at the Bavarian State Opera, Boris (Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk) at the Paris Opera, and the title role in Boris Godunov at La Monnaie in Brussels.
He made his debut at the Vienna State Opera in 2017.
