He has achieved success at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, La Scala in Milan, the Salzburg Festival, the Bavarian State Opera, the Lyric Opera of Chicago, the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the Berlin State Opera, the Vienna State Opera, the Opéra national de Paris, the Chorégies d’Orange, the Bayreuth Festival, Zurich Opera House, Teatro Real Madrid, Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Theater an der Wien, the Washington National Opera, the Canadian Opera Company in Toronto, Canada, Leipzig Opera, and the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía.
In the 2025/26 season, his engagements have included a new production of Eugene Onegin at the Opéra national de Paris and performances of Wozzeck at the Vienna State Opera.
