Ana Garotić
Ana Garotić was born in 2000 in Belgrade, Serbia, and has been a member of Studio of the Vienna State Opera since the 2024/25 season.
She completed her bachelor's degree at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (mdw) and is expected to complete her master's degree in 2026.
She gained artistic inspiration in masterclasses with Brigitte Fassbaender, Thomas Hampson, Étienne Dupuis, Michael Schade, Nicole Car, Helmut Deutsch, Brian Jagde, Gregory Kunde, KS Linda Watson and Kamal Khan.
Her opera debut was in 2023 as Micaëla in Carmen at the Oper im Steinbruch festival in St. Margarethen. She is also a prize winner of the Ferruccio Tagliavini International Singing Competition and was a finalist in the Montserrat Caballé Competition.
At the Vienna State Opera, she sang numerous roles during the 2024/2025 season, including Senta in Das verfluchte Geisterschiff, Fortuna in Monteverdi's Il ritorno d'Ulisse in patria, La Contessa di Ceprano in Verdi's Rigoletto, Ines in Il trovatore and Berta in Rossini's Il barbiere di Siviglia.
