Experience opera and ballet from the very beginning

The Vienna State Opera and NEST offer a diverse program for children and young people.

The aim is to get young people interested in musical theater at an early age and to open up the world of opera, music and dance to them in a lively and accessible way.

NEST - New State Opera

Ein Raum für junge Perspektiven

With NEST, the Vienna State Opera has its own venue for young audiences. Here, productions are created for different age groups - from primary school age to teenagers. The repertoire includes contemporary material as well as creative reinterpretations of classical works.

NEST sees itself as a place for encounters and participation: young people experience music theater and dance up close, discover new artistic forms and engage with topics that affect their lives.
