The Chinese soprano Ying Fang is regarded as one of the finest singers of her generation. In the 2025/26 season, she makes her debut at Houston Grand Opera in Robert Wilson’s staging of Mozart’s adaptation of Handel’s Messiah and appears as Ilia (Idomeneo) at the Vienna State Opera.

In the United States, she also performs with the San Francisco Symphony in Mozart’s Requiem and with the Philadelphia Orchestra in Mahler’s Second Symphony, appearing both in Philadelphia and at Carnegie Hall in New York City. In addition, she records Mahler’s Second Symphony with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and appears with the Manchester Camerata in a concert featuring works by Mozart, which will be recorded and released by Chandos Records as the first of four Mozart CDs.

Further highlights include Mahler’s Eighth Symphony with the Vienna Philharmonic, as well as her return to the Festival in Aix-en-Provence as Pamina (The Magic Flute).

She made her debut at the Vienna State Opera in 2023 as Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro).
