The tenor XABIER ANDUAGA was born in San Sebastian (Spain).

In 2016, he was admitted to the Accademia Rossiniana in Pesaro, where he made his operatic debut as Belfiore (Il viaggio a Reims).

During the early years of his career, he appeared in numerous Rossini roles on major international stages, including the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires (Argentina), the Donizetti Festival in Bergamo, the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris (France), the Mikhailovsky Theatre in St. Petersburg (Russia), the Vienna Musikverein, Müpa Budapest (Hungary), the Paris Opéra, the Hamburg State Opera, the Teatro Real in Madrid, as well as in Bilbao, Parma, Turin and Valencia.

Among his many awards, the 1st Prize at the Operalia Competition in 2019 deserves special mention.

More recently, he made his house debuts at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Royal Opera House in London and the Liceu in Barcelona (Spain).

His engagements for the 2025/26 season include Werther at the Liceu, Elvino (La sonnambula) at the Met, Alfredo at the Opéra de Paris and the Opera di Roma, Tonio (La Fille du régiment) at the Bavarian State Opera, the Duke (Rigoletto) at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, and Nemorino (L’elisir d’amore) in Las Palmas (Spain).
