Pavel Nebolsin

The Russian pianist Pavel Nebolsin was born into a musical family and began studying music in early childhood. He is a prizewinner of the Young Soloists Festival (1995) and the Classic Heritage International Competition (1998), and in 2008 he graduated from the Gnessin State Musical Academy in Moscow, Russia.

He has also received awards as Best Accompanist at the Russian Levko Vocal Competition (2008), at the International Festival of Modern Art and Education in Ruza, Russia (2007), at the International Antonín Dvořák Vocal Competition in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic (2006), and at the International Glinka Vocal Competition.

In 2009 he joined the Young Artist Programme of the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow and in 2011 was appointed répétiteur of the Bolshoi. As both soloist and accompanist he has appeared, among others, at the Levitan Music Festival in Plyos, Russia, in the Great Hall of the Moscow Philharmonic, at the Bolshoi, at the Edinburgh Festival in the United Kingdom, and at Wigmore Hall in London.

Among the conductors with whom he has collaborated or performed are Rozhdestvensky, Sinaisky, Sagripanti, Mazzola and Korchak. Since 2017 he has worked regularly with Yusif Eyvazov and Anna Netrebko as a music coach and accompanist in Dubai, Monaco, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt am Main and Hamburg.
