Nadine Sierra
Nadine Sierra was born in Fort Lauderdale, USA, and following successful debuts at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, La Scala in Milan, and the Paris Opera, she has become a fixture at many of the world’s most prestigious opera houses.
In 2017, she signed an exclusive recording contract with Deutsche Grammophon and Decca Gold. Her debut album There’s a Place for Us was released in 2018, followed by Made For Opera in 2022. In the same year, she received the Richard Tucker Award and was honoured in 2018 with the Beverly Sills Artist Award of the Metropolitan Opera.
Her engagements in the 2025/26 season include Amina in La sonnambula at the Metropolitan Opera, a major recital tour of Latin America, a gala at Carnegie Hall in New York, the title role in Luisa Miller in a new production at the Vienna State Opera, as well as concerts at the Salle Gaveau in Paris, the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Stanford Live in California, LA Opera, the Palau de les Arts in Valencia, the Festival de Pâques in Aix-en-Provence, and the Hungarian State Opera in Budapest.
Her operatic appearances continue with L’elisir d’amore and Rigoletto at the Bavarian State Opera, Roméo et Juliette at the Teatro Real in Madrid, and La traviata at the Chorégies d’Orange.
Most recently, she made her debut at the Vienna State Opera as Juliette in Roméo et Juliette, returned to the Metropolitan Opera as Gilda in Rigoletto, appeared frequently at the Liceu in Barcelona, and sang Violetta in La traviata, Amina, and Maria in West Side Story. She also returned to the Teatro Real in Madrid as Violetta, portrayed Manon at the Paris Opera, and sang Juliette at the Teatro di San Carlo in Naples.
She also took part in the opening of the Vienna Opera Ball 2025 and in the opening ceremony of the newly restored Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris. Further highlights of her career include Adina in L’elisir d’amore and Lucia di Lammermoor at the Royal Opera House in London; Juliette, Violetta, Lucia, Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro, Ilia in Idomeneo, and Zerlina in Don Giovanni at the Metropolitan Opera; and Luisa Miller at the Teatro di San Carlo.
She has appeared in concerts and recitals with the Berlin Philharmonic, the Philadelphia Orchestra, and the Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, and has given recitals at Palm Beach Opera, the Teatro Real in Madrid, Carnegie Hall, the Teatro di San Carlo, Festival Dortmund, the Grand Théâtre de Genève, and in Kansas City.
