Huw Montague Rendall
The British baritone Huw Montague Rendall, one of the most exciting talents to emerge in recent years, has already made highly acclaimed debuts on some of the world’s most important stages, including the Royal Ballet & Opera in London, the Vienna State Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, the Opéra national de Paris, the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, as well as the festivals in Salzburg and Glyndebourne.
The 2025/26 season began with his return to the Royal Ballet & Opera in The Magic Flute, followed by his debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona as Belcore in L’elisir d’amore and later appearances as Dandini in La cenerentola at the Opéra national de Paris. He also appears as the Count in Le nozze di Figaro at the Vienna State Opera and as Pelléas in Pelléas et Mélisande at the Opéra de Monte-Carlo.
On the concert platform, he has sung Bach’s Mass in B minor with the Berlin Philharmonic, Schubert’s Die schöne Müllerin, and gives a recital with Louise Alder at the Howard Assembly Room in Leeds. Further engagements include concert performances of Pelléas et Mélisande with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and Vaughan Williams’ A Sea Symphony with the Hallé Orchestra.
