Eliška Weissová
The award-winning dramatic soprano Eliška Weissová, originally from the Czech Republic, captivates audiences with her powerful voice, commanding stage presence and highly expressive performances.
She made her highly successful debut at the Vienna State Opera in 2022 as Kostelnička in Jenůfa. In the 2025/26 season, she returns to the Theatre St. Gallen in Switzerland as Elektra, performs her signature role of Kostelnička at the Latvian National Opera in Riga, Latvia, and then travels to Seoul, South Korea, where she gives her eagerly anticipated debut as Isolde at the Korean National Opera in Tristan und Isolde.
At the Vienna State Opera, she appears as the Foreign Princess in Rusalka and is also heard during the season in leading roles at the National Theatre Košice in Slovakia, including Tosca, Macbeth and the title role in a new production of Turandot.
On the concert platform, she performs with the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra under Jakub Hrůša in a concert performance of Jenůfa.
Originally a mezzo-soprano, she successfully transitioned to the dramatic soprano repertoire in 2018 with her debut as Giorgetta in Il tabarro at the National Theatre Bratislava.
