Aušrinė Stundytė

The Lithuanian soprano Aušrinė Stundytė has garnered international acclaim for her powerful stage presence, intense expressiveness, and impressive versatility.

Engagements in the current season include Emilia Marty in Vĕc Makropulos at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden in London. With her celebrated interpretation of Elektra, she appears at the Vienna State Opera, the Hamburg State Opera, and with the Dresden Philharmonic.

Her current projects also include her debut in Caracas, where she will be heard as Kundry in concert performances of Parsifal.

In the previous season, the artist made her debut in two major roles: Polina in Prokofiev’s The Gambler at Stuttgart State Opera and the Dyer’s Wife in Die Frau ohne Schatten at Dutch National Opera in Amsterdam.

Following earlier appearances at the Salzburg Festival as Elektra and as Judith in Bluebeard’s Castle, she sang Nastasya Filippovna Barashkova in Mieczysław Weinberg’s The Idiot in 2024 and appeared in Schoenberg’s Erwartung in 2025.

Guest performances have taken her, among others, to Barcelona, Paris, Geneva, Munich, Madrid, Rome, the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, Lyon, and Zurich. She made her debut at the Vienna State Opera in 2019 as Salome.
